It's great to be here with you guys this morning. Thank you so much for gathering together with us. It's such a privilege. And thanks, Tim, for putting together this PowerPoint presentation. Tim probably ‐‐ everyone know what those are? Not a lot of grain land around here. Those are straw bales. Anyway, Tim has spent a lot of hours on the tractor with me making those things. So if you want to know all about that, you can come talk to us later. Alyssa's family is a grain farming family, so we got to be in on that when we're there. So this is a very wonderful fall-looking picture to us.

So anyway, before we get into things this morning, I just ‐‐ I thought we should ‐‐ I should just make a few comments about the upcoming conferences, because we've been announcing them for several weeks. And I know some of you are registered for the Friday-Saturday conference.

But this is the add-on event right here at Holly Hills. So Dennis Roxer, who is one of the speakers for the Friday-Saturday conference, he said, hey, would you be interested in having me speak on the Thursday night at Holly Hills since I'm going to be here already anyway? And just raise your hand if you know of Dennis Roxer. and familiar. So, okay, Dennis Roxer has been a pastor for 45-plus years in ministry, mostly in Minnesota and in Georgia. as well, and if you aren't familiar with his teaching, what you'll find is that he is very closely in line with our doctrine here at Holly Hills, and he's going to be speaking on the Christian life, and one of the things I've talked to Dennis about, and see Dennis, he's on the Friday, Saturday, we're going to be talking about evangelism of the gospel, but Dennis says you can tell people what the gospel is, and they'll all the amen, brother.

But when you start to tell them what the gospel is not, they'll say, well, hold on a second, brother, right? Because it's when we begin to teach what things are and are not that people see the contrast and the distinction and they begin to see with clarity what you're saying. And so it's so important that we teach not only what things are, but what they are not.

And so that's what Dennis is going to be talking about on the Thursday night, getting the Christian life right and wrong. And I've had a number of conversations with Dennis about the Christian life, and I think you'll be really encouraged by what he has to share that night. So I really encourage you to come out and invite people to come with you as well, mainly for, obviously, for believers, those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ and are, you know, how many believers, how many of us have struggled to live the Christian life because we don't understand it, we don't understand what God's plan and purposes for the Christian life by grace, through faith, just like birth, right? So I really encourage you to come to that.

And then, of course, the conference on the following two days, we're going to have Dennis as one of the keynote speakers and J.B. Hickson as well. And it's a free conference, so don't don't let that scare you away. It's no cost. Lunch is provided on the Saturday as well. And if you register, you get a discount rate at the hotel if you want to spend the night there to save the traveling back and forth. And this conference, in case the title isn't clear, it's not a ‐‐ this is not an evangelistic conference. So if you think, oh, I'm saved, I don't need this, that's not what this conference is about. It's about how can you share the gospel more clearly and effectively with those around you in your life? So I think if you come, you'll find that it's very, very beneficial.
